Animation is the process of making the illusion of motion and the illusion of change by means of the rapid succession of sequential to images that differ from each other. Whether it's hand-drawn or done using a computer, animation always has the same goal: take a series of images and play them back in a sequence. Usually 24, 25, 30, or 60 frames are displayed per second. Computers help fill in the gaps in those sequences using laws of Physics and mathematical functions. 3D animation uses computer graphics, while 2D animation is used for stylistic, low bandwidth and faster real-time renderings. Commonly people think that animation is a medium of entertainment. But for the scientists, Engineers and Professionals who deal with the particles, the motion of the object particles, and the forces acting on the, and the control of the particles is of great importance. So the animated project pre-visualization is a great tool for them. Scientifically accurate animations are needed which can lead to open new windows of innovations. But the fact is that there are no so many professionals found who are actually capable of making that level of animation. Lack of software related skill is not behind this inability. The core reason is- lack of primary knowledge on science in particular on the natural laws of physics those govern especially the motion of the object. The book "Physics for Animation" has come up with the solution for rising animators. Through this book, young talents will be able to blend their tremendous software skills and creativity with the laws of physics. Personally I believe that when this will be done, young animators work will automatically reach on another higher level. I appreciate the efforts of the author and convey thanks to take such much needed endeavor. I wish the success of "Physics for Animation" and hope for more innovations.
